Using Creative Techniques in Psychotherapy Intervenção Cognitivista-Construtivista com Crianças e Adolescentes
Tammie Ronen | Tel-Aviv Univ Using Creative techniques in psychotherapy: Integrating metaphors, imagery, play, drawing and sculpturing in a model of positive psychology The workshop will present a positive psychology model for helping clients to help themselves. The model will focus on empowering clients by increasing their positive forces and resources rather than by decreasing pathology. The importance of creativity will be present as a way to facilitate treatment outcomes in general and for creating emotional change in particular.
Various techniques will be presented: the way to use imagery, metaphors, drawing, sculpturing etc.The participants will practice the use of various techniques and learn the way to apply them in therapy.
Example on how to relate these techniques will be given relating to anxiety, aggression, trauma, anorexia etc.
Tammie Ronen is a professor in Tel-Aviv university. She was the president of the Israeli association for behavior and cognitive therapy for many years; was in the editorial board of several journals including Constructivism in the Human Science, the author of many articles and books such as: Cognitive developmental therapy with children ; Cognitive constructivist psychotherapy with children and adolescence ; In and out of anorexia . She teach and train internationaly
